Dr. Brandão is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon, specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders ranging from sports injuries, arthroscopic surgery, ligament and tendon repair, arthritis surgery, total ankle replacement, Charcot reconstruction, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, and lower extremity fractures and trauma.
Prior to joining Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Center, where he completed his Reconstructive Surgical Fellowship, Dr. Brandão practiced for 5 years at CAO/Orthopaedic Associates of Central Maryland Division, caring for patients in Baltimore and surrounding areas. While there, he was recognized as a Baltimore Top Doc, 2018-2022. He completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he served as Co-Chief Resident. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University of Oakland, CA, and completed his undergraduate education at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Ml.
Dr. Brandão is also actively involved in research, serving as the OFAC Research Director, and advancing new techniques in foot and ankle surgery. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters and regularly lectures at national and local meetings. Additionally, he serves as the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association Central Academy President and is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
