Questions?
The surgical facility will contact you the day prior to your procedure with your arrive time. It’s a good idea to arrive early. Being late could mean having to reschedule the procedure.
Questions?
Based upon your procedure, your doctor will recommend a length of time not to eat or drink. Eating or drinking prior to surgery can cause nausea and vomiting when paired with anesthesia and becomes a safety issue.
Be sure to check with your doctor about whether or not you should take medications the day of surgery. Due to safety concerns, your surgery may have to be delayed or cancelled if you fail to follow these important instructions.
Questions?
Your belongings should be limited: a bag of toiletries and some loose comfortable clothes is a good start. Leave all valuables at home, including cell phones, computers, excessive cash and jewelry.
You should have your insurance information and any documents your doctor has provided. Also, have your current medications, in their original containers, with you.
