Zanesville, OH — October 9, 2025 — Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville (OAZ) is pleased to announce the addition of Joshua Burka, DO, to its team of board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons. Dr. Burka specializes in sports-related injuries, arthroscopy, joint preservation, and shoulder and knee reconstruction and replacement.
Dr. Burka earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree cum laude from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Western Reserve Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He then completed an Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia, where he advanced his expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques and complex joint reconstruction.
Dr. Burka has contributed to multiple research projects, case reports, and national presentations focused on advancing orthopedic techniques and improving surgical outcomes. His clinical approach emphasizes evidence-based care, personalized treatment, and collaboration with patients and referring providers to restore mobility and help individuals return to the activities they love.
